This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Especialista de Arquitetura de Sistemas based in Brazil.

You will play a key role in shaping enterprise systems, supporting modernization initiatives, and guiding technical decisions across complex environments.

Accountabilities:

The role is responsible for defining and guiding enterprise architecture strategies, ensuring that technology solutions are aligned with business needs, scalability requirements, and industry best practices. The professional will act as a technical reference, supporting modernization programs, architectural decisions, and knowledge sharing across teams.

  • Analyze business needs and define technical solutions, identifying integrations, system impacts, reuse opportunities, and architectural improvements.
  • Design solution architectures with technical and functional perspectives, prioritizing cloud-based approaches and scalable models.
  • Create business, technical, and functional blueprints and present recommendations to technology and business leadership.
  • Guide executives in technical decision-making through detailed analysis, trade-offs, and strategic recommendations.
  • Develop architecture artifacts following standards such as C4 Model and UML-based diagrams.
  • Analyze legacy systems and define modernization strategies, including migration and transformation initiatives.
  • Conduct make-or-buy assessments and support technology evaluation processes.
  • Create and maintain value stream flows, capability maps, standards, principles, and architectural documentation.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, resilience, efficiency, and non-functional business requirements.
  • Identify technical debt risks, support prioritization, and drive resolution strategies.
  • Participate in strategic transformation projects and special technology initiatives.
  • Promote architectural knowledge through workshops, mentoring, and guidance for engineering teams and architects.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in enterprise architecture, software engineering, cloud environments, and large-scale technology transformation projects. A combination of technical depth, strategic thinking, and communication skills is essential to succeed in this role.

  • Previous experience in systems development, preferably with technologies such as Java, Node.js, and Python.
  • Experience leading Proofs of Concept (POCs) and evaluating new technologies.
  • Proven experience designing cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), preferably with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications and monolithic systems for cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of application integrations, including APIs, Webservices, messaging, orchestrators, and microservices architectures.
  • Experience designing corporate solutions using architecture principles, design patterns, SOLID, Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
  • Knowledge of data storage, transfer, and transformation solutions.
  • Experience working in agile environments such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
  • Ability to create architecture diagrams using market-standard modeling tools.
  • Knowledge of discovery methods, MVP development, and experimentation practices.
  • Familiarity with FinOps, DevSecOps practices, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Understanding of data platforms, including Datalakes and data-related technologies.
  • Knowledge of SRE concepts, observability, and high-availability solutions.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including OAuth2, JWT, authentication, encryption, WAF, firewalls, and application security.
  • Required: Cloud certification in GCP.
  • Required: Experience working on architecture projects focused on legacy modernization and cloud adoption.
  • Required: Previous experience in financial services, such as banking, payments, insurance, brokerage, or related industries.
  • Nice to have: Experience with Corporate and Investment Banking environments.
  • Nice to have: English proficiency for written and verbal communication.
