Cedar Creek is a 1,100 MW simple-cycle gas turbine power project with a site workforce peaking above 2,000. As HSE Manager you own the owner's health, safety and environmental oversight, set the standard the EPC contractor is held to, and carry the authority to stop work.
What you get to do:
- Lead the owner's HSE team and set expectations across the project.
- Govern the contractor's safety programme, plans and performance.
- Review and challenge job hazard analyses and high-risk work plans.
- Lead owner participation in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Own leading and lagging safety indicator reporting.
- Oversee environmental compliance and permit conditions.
- Deliver OSHA 30 training to the owner's team after mobilization.
What you bring to the role:
- 12+ years in construction safety leadership on large industrial projects.
- 5+ years representing an owner over an EPC contractor under a lump-sum contract.
- OSHA 500 and deep command of OSHA 1926.
- Track record on sites with peak workforces above 1,500.
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent years of field experience.
Nice to have:
- CSP or equivalent certification.
- Environmental permitting experience on a greenfield generation project.
