Cedar Creek is a 1,100 MW simple-cycle gas turbine power project moving toward commercial operation. As Commissioning Manager you lead the owner's commissioning organization through startup and performance testing of the full turbine fleet. It is the seat that decides when the project is finished.
What you get to do:
- Lead the owner's commissioning organization across all disciplines.
- Govern the contractor's commissioning programme, procedures and readiness.
- Own the turnover and completion sequence through to commercial operation.
- Review and approve performance test procedures, and witness testing.
- Drive resolution of startup issues with engineering, construction and the OEM.
- Report readiness and completion status to the Project Director.
What you bring to the role:
- 15+ years in power plant commissioning, including senior leadership.
- Two or more projects taken through to commercial operation.
- 5+ years representing an owner over an EPC contractor under a lump-sum contract.
- Deep familiarity with ASME PTC 46 and PTC 22 performance testing.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent years of field experience.
Nice to have
- Multi-unit fleet commissioning experience.
- Simple-cycle gas turbine operation and control philosophy.
