Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee our housekeeping team at [Hotel Name] in [City, State]. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Training:

- Supervise the daily activities of the housekeeping staff, including room attendants, housemen, and laundry staff. - Train new and existing staff on proper cleaning techniques and the use of cleaning equipment and products. - Schedule staff shifts and manage daily assignments to ensure coverage and efficient use of resources.

  • Quality Control:

- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and service areas to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met. - Monitor cleaning procedures and use of cleaning agents to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations. - Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues related to housekeeping service or cleanliness.

  • Inventory Management:

- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet daily operational needs. - Control inventory costs and place orders for supplies as needed, ensuring budget compliance. - Organize and maintain the storage areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.

  • Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare and submit reports on housekeeping operations, including staff performance, guest feedback, and inspection results. - Document and report any maintenance issues or potential safety hazards to the maintenance department promptly. - Keep records of staff attendance and performance for payroll and human resources purposes.

  • Team Leadership:

- Foster a cooperative and harmonious working environment to facilitate team spirit and improve morale. - Address any staff conflicts, disciplinary issues, or performance concerns in a timely and professional manner. - Encourage staff development and provide feedback and support to team members.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality or hotel management is a plus.

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Proficiency in housekeeping management systems and basic computer applications.

- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
