Dog Groomer/Groomician in Brentwood, Missouri at Good Clean Dog
Job Description
Good Clean Dog is a new, industry-disrupting concept in the pet grooming space that aims to provide the best experience for both our clients and our employees. Led by industry experts with over 30 years of collective experience in grooming / pet services, this new company is redefining how clients who value safety and convenience access grooming services for their pets. Similarly, we will set a new standard for how professionals in the industry are viewed and treated.
Our Core ValuesOur values guide how we serve clients, treat each other, and make decisions. We hire, develop, and promote Groomicians who live them every day.
- Believe the Best: Choosing to see the best in customers, team members, and dogs by treating people fairly, giving the benefit of the doubt, and speaking the truth.
- Respect Every Contribution: Valuing the training, skill, and hard work required to excel, and elevating how industry professionals are viewed and treated.
- Always Be Good: Doing the right thing even when it is difficult, owning mistakes, and holding to high standards to earn trust.
- Stronger as a Team: Honoring individual efforts while working together by teaching, learning, and pitching in regardless of the task.
- Make Their Day: Going above and beyond for customers by anticipating needs, reducing friction, and bringing unexpected joy.
- Learn New Tricks: Embracing new ideas, recognizing that mistakes drive progress, and continuously improving.
- All Breeds Welcome: Fostering an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment where every person and pup feels valued, respected, and cared for, with zero tolerance for harmful behavior.
- Build for the Future: Constructing a strong, profitable long-term business that enables hiring, meaningful livelihoods, and continuous improvement through measurable impact.
As the name implies, this is not your typical Groomer / Pet Stylist role. At Good Clean Dog we Respect Every Contribution: Groomicians are treated more like doctors at a hospital, where their skill is paramount and their time is precious. Just as nurses prepare the patient, our other highly trained staff take care of the bulk of other important tasks so Groomicians can focus on their strengths: loving our furry clients and cutting their hair. Groomicians have very limited exposure to tasks such as phone calls, appointment scheduling, paperwork, bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, teeth brushing, cleaning, disinfecting, scooping poop, etc.
There are no solo performers at our company. We are Stronger as a Team: we use a team approach to providing the best grooming experience for our clients, while also providing the best employment experience for our team. Because our team structure is different from your typical salon, so is our compensation. Instead of arbitrary commission-and-tips, our Groomicians are compensated with best-in-industry base salaries and productivity bonuses (based on individual performance and team performance).
As a company headed towards meaningful expansion, we Build for the Future, and our Groomicians have opportunities for growth and advancement as Senior Groomers, Store Managers, Regional / General Managers, Trainers, etc.
