Job Description
The Senior Product Analyst supports the delivery, enhancement, and operationalization of enterprise data products within strategic business domains, including Client, Matter, Financial, and related legal business data assets.
This role develops deep expertise in an assigned enterprise data domain and partners with stakeholders to define requirements, improve data quality, support governance practices, and deliver high-value data products.
Working closely with Product Owner Managers and business stakeholders, this role is responsible for requirements analysis, data analysis, backlog support, process documentation, testing coordination, and data quality initiatives. The Senior Analyst develops domain expertise and serves as a key contributor to the successful delivery of data products that support reporting, analytics, operational processes, and AI-driven initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
Develop and maintain deep expertise in assigned business data domains, including business processes, systems, integrations, data flows, business rules, and data definitions.
Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, validate, and translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to understand business needs, operational processes, and data requirements.
Analyze business processes and data flows to identify opportunities for process improvement, enhanced data quality, and increased business value.
Domain Stewardship & Governance
Serve as a steward for assigned data domains by maintaining business definitions, business rules, governance documentation, and data quality standards.
Act as a subject matter expert for assigned domain data, business processes, business rules, and data definitions.
Collaborate across related business domains to identify dependencies and promote consistent business definitions, governance practices, and data standards.
Product Delivery & Stakeholder Support
Support backlog refinement, prioritization, sprint planning, and delivery execution activities.
Partner with Product Owners, Data Engineers, Architects, Analysts, and Governance teams to support delivery of enterprise data products.
Support testing, user acceptance activities, defect resolution, and release readiness while validating delivered solutions against business requirements.
Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and support communication, change management, training, and adoption activities.
Reporting, Analytics & Data Readiness
Support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives through business metric definition, reporting requirements, and data validation activities.
Contribute to data governance, data quality, and AI-readiness initiatives that promote trusted and reusable enterprise data assets.
Education and/or Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Ownership, Data Analysis, Data Governance, Reporting, Analytics, Product Management, or related disciplines.
Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Experience working with enterprise data, reporting, analytics, or business intelligence solutions.
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business processes, data flows, and business requirements.
Experience working with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, data quality enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
Demonstrated ability to develop expertise within a business data domain and apply that knowledge to improve business processes, data quality, reporting, and operational outcomes.
Preferred:
Experience working within legal, professional services, financial services, consulting, healthcare, insurance, or other complex, highly regulated, or data-intensive environments.
Experience working with enterprise business domains and supporting systems such as Client, Matter, Financial, CRM, ERP, Master Data Management, or similar business platforms.
Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives that require collaboration across business, technology, data, and operational teams.
Experience supporting data governance, master data management, or data quality initiatives.
Experience with SQL, data profiling, data validation, reporting, or business intelligence tools.
Exposure to AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics initiatives.

The target salary range for this role is:
$104,000 - $142,000 if located in Illinois.Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate.
