About the Role:
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the hospitality business to ensure exceptional service delivery and profitability. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role within the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record in managing P&L and controlling food and labor costs.
- Demonstrated experience in people management and leading diverse teams.
- Strong background in corporate sales and project sales within the hospitality sector.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management.
- Certification in Food Safety or Hospitality Management.
- Experience working in a multi-unit or large-scale hospitality environment.
- Familiarity with advanced incentive program design and implementation.
- Knowledge of Canadian hospitality regulations and market trends.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily operations across all departments including food and beverage, sales, and guest services to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve corporate sales targets and expand market presence.
- Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and other operational expenses to maximize profitability.
- Oversee P&L management, analyze financial reports, and implement corrective actions to meet budgetary goals.
- Design and implement incentive programs to motivate staff and improve overall team performance.
- Recruit, train, and mentor employees to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality industry regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align operational goals with the company’s vision and objectives.
