Job Description

Product Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager based in Canada.

This role sits at the intersection of fintech innovation, platform thinking, and enterprise product delivery, focusing on building and evolving complex payment solutions used at scale.
You will own a defined area of a payments platform, driving both discovery and delivery from early problem framing through to launch and continuous improvement.
The position requires strong product intuition, analytical rigor, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
You will work closely with engineering, design, compliance, and client-facing teams to translate business needs into clear, buildable product requirements.
A key part of the role involves understanding how money movement systems work and shaping solutions within the constraints of regulated payment ecosystems.
You will be responsible for defining success metrics, prioritizing roadmap decisions, and ensuring delivered products generate measurable business impact.
This is a highly autonomous role where outcomes matter more than output, and where your decisions directly influence platform scalability and client success.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the roadmap and delivery for a defined product area, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead product discovery by engaging clients and stakeholders, clearly framing problems, and validating opportunities before development.
  • Write detailed product requirements, acceptance criteria, and decision documents that guide engineering, design, and delivery teams.
  • Prioritize features and initiatives by balancing value, risk, scope, and timelines while clearly communicating trade-offs.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams from ideation through launch to ensure feasibility and product quality.
  • Define product success metrics, track performance, and use data insights to guide iteration, improvements, or de-prioritization.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations across internal teams and clients, ensuring clarity, alignment, and realistic commitments.
  • Incorporate regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, KYC/AML, card network rules) as core product inputs.
  • Partner with implementation and client success teams to ensure scalability, operability, and real-world usability of features.
  • Continuously improve product processes, discovery practices, and delivery systems within the broader product organization.
  • Identify risks early and escalate proactively to avoid delivery, compliance, or client-impacting issues.
  • Stay informed on fintech and payments industry trends to bring new ideas and enhancements to the platform.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in B2B, platform, fintech, or enterprise software environments.
  • Proven ability to ship products or features that drive measurable business or customer impact.
  • Strong product discovery skills, including problem framing, validation, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to articulate trade-offs and decisions clearly across audiences.
  • Comfort working with technical concepts such as APIs, system architecture, and platform constraints.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using data and product metrics to guide decisions.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in fast-changing, ambiguous environments with shifting priorities.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across engineering, design, sales, and operations teams.
  • Experience in payments, banking, or regulated financial environments is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, SOC 2, KYC/AML) and enterprise client requirements is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote role across Canada
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and impact
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Paid time off and work-life balance support
  • Strong professional development, mentorship, and learning opportunities
  • High ownership role with direct impact on product and customer outcomes
  • Exposure to cutting-edge fintech and payment infrastructure systems
  • Inclusive, collaborative, and growth-oriented work culture
