Job Description

Senior Manager, Remarketing Operations & Services

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Remarketing Operations & Services based in the United States.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for scaling a nationwide vehicle reconditioning and enhancement program across a large branch network.
You’ll lead a team of Make-Ready Analysts and establish consistent, efficient standards for preparing vehicles for sale.
The role combines operational leadership, vendor management, financial oversight, and continuous improvement.
You’ll work closely with field operations, procurement, finance, sales, product, IT, and training teams to improve execution and profitability.
A key focus will be transforming remarketing services into a scalable, revenue-generating offering while strengthening the seller experience.
This is an opportunity to influence strategy, standardize processes, and maximize the value of every remarketed vehicle.
The position is remote and offers significant scope to shape a growing operational program.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the end-to-end make-ready and vehicle enhancement lifecycle, establishing clear ready-for-sale standards, operating procedures, quality requirements, and task guidelines across different clients and vehicle types.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of Make-Ready Analysts, setting priorities, workloads, objectives, performance expectations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the vendor strategy for reconditioning and enhancement services, including vendor identification, onboarding, performance management, issue escalation, KPI/SLA development, and optimization of national versus local resources.
  • Partner with Procurement and Finance to support negotiations, evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, control costs, and improve vendor economics and service quality.
  • Oversee program budgets, forecasts, spending, vendor costs, margins, billing, and cost-capture processes while identifying opportunities to improve profitability and prevent revenue leakage.
  • Collaborate with regional and branch operations to implement make-ready standards, provide coaching, roll out new processes and tools, and reinforce quality-control and inspection practices.
  • Develop training materials, job aids, feedback mechanisms, and operational forums that capture frontline insights and drive consistent execution across the branch network.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, seller SLA, and contractual requirements throughout the program.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Product, IT, Finance, Analytics, Procurement, and other stakeholders to scale enhancement services and incorporate them into client proposals and contracts.
  • Establish dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics focused on cost, cycle time, quality, vendor performance, revenue, and program growth.
  • Provide operational insights and recommendations that inform broader remarketing strategy, service expansion, staffing, and investment decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline required; an MBA or comparable advanced degree is preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally within operations, supply chain, automotive, remarketing, reconditioning, field services, or a comparable environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading operational programs at scale, including standardizing processes across geographically distributed locations.
  • Strong people-management experience, with the ability to coach, motivate, evaluate, and develop teams while establishing measurable performance expectations.
  • Proven expertise in vendor management, outsourcing strategy, contract/service negotiations, KPI/SLA development, and vendor performance improvement.
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, margin analysis, and ROI-focused decision-making.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies; Lean, Six Sigma, or similar credentials are preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence field teams, executives, vendors, and business partners.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to identifying operational inefficiencies and developing scalable solutions.
  • Willingness and ability to operate effectively in a remote environment while supporting a geographically distributed branch network.
Benefits
  • Competitive annual base salary of approximately $116,020–$135,000, with compensation determined in part by location and experience.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Basic life insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with a 100% company match on the first 4% contributed.
  • 15 days of paid time off annually.
  • Full-time remote work environment.
  • Opportunity to lead and scale a strategically important nationwide operational program.
  • Collaborative, cross-functional environment with exposure to operations, finance, procurement, technology, sales, and strategy.
  • Opportunities to contribute directly to process improvement, revenue growth, and customer experience.
