Job Description

Position Summary

SunStrong is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Treasury Operations Associate to support daily treasury activities across SunStrong Management LLC, its affiliates, and supported organizations. This role is designed for an early-career professional with foundational experience or exposure to treasury, banking operations, accounting, or financial services who is eager to build expertise in treasury operations.
The Treasury Operations Associate will support core treasury functions including bank account administration, Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation, payment processing, daily cash reporting, user access administration, and audit support. This position will work closely with treasury leadership and cross-functional teams to help maintain efficient, well-controlled treasury processes while gaining broader exposure to treasury operations over time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Bank Account Management and KYC Support
  • Assist with documentation for the opening, closing, and maintenance of corporate bank accounts and banking services.
  • Support the collection, organization, and submission of Know Your Customer (KYC) and related banking documentation.
  • Maintain accurate bank account records, including account details, signatories, and supporting documentation.
  • Help coordinate requests with banks and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of account-related documentation.
  • Initiate DocuSign requests on behalf of Treasury as needed.
  • Treasury Operations
  • Prepare and upload wire transfers and ACH payments through bank portals in accordance with established procedures and internal controls.
  • Support payment processing activities, including coordination with accounts payable platforms and bill release processes.
  • Help ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of payment execution.
  • Provide general operational support to the Treasury team in day-to-day activities.
  • Access Administration and Controls
  • Assist with managing user access to banking portals, including onboarding new users, offboarding terminated employees, and updating account assignments.
  • Support monthly user access reviews and control documentation.
  • Help maintain compliance with treasury procedures and internal control requirements.
  • Daily Cash Reporting
  • Assist in preparing daily cash positioning and reporting across multiple bank accounts.
  • Retrieve, compile, and organize bank statements and transaction data.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of daily cash position reports to stakeholders.
  • Use Excel-based tools and templates to support reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Fraud Prevention and Risk Monitoring
  • Assist in reviewing daily fraud filters and escalating unusual or suspicious items as appropriate.
  • Support treasury efforts to strengthen fraud prevention controls and monitoring processes.
  • Process Support and Continuous Improvement
  • Document procedures and support process improvement initiatives within the Treasury function.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency in treasury operations.
  • Support Treasury team members and managers with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Approximately 1–3 years of experience in treasury, banking operations, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Exposure to banking portals, payment processing, account administration, or cash reporting is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of treasury operations, banking documentation, or financial operations preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and spreadsheet-based reporting.
  • Experience with macros or advanced Excel functionality is a plus, but not required.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn treasury processes, banking platforms, and internal controls.
