Position Overview
We are seeking a CAAS Client Onboarding Manager to support our growing Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice. This role is responsible for leading the onboarding and implementation process for new client engagements—from signed engagement letter through successful launch.
This individual will serve as the bridge between business development and delivery, ensuring a seamless transition into ongoing service while building scalable processes, tools, and standards for onboarding.

Key Responsibilities
Client Onboarding & Implementation
- Own the end-to-end onboarding process for new CAAS engagements, ensuring a smooth and timely transition from sales to service delivery
- Develop and manage onboarding plans, timelines, and checklists to drive accountability and consistency
- Coordinate cross-functional handoffs between business development, client service teams, and internal stakeholders
Project Management & Execution
- Lead onboarding activities across multiple concurrent engagements, managing timelines, risks, and dependencies
- Facilitate internal and client kickoff meetings, including agenda development, documentation, and follow-up
- Track onboarding milestones, proactively identify delays or gaps, and escalate issues as needed
Client & Operational Readiness
- Translate discovery and sales insights into actionable onboarding plans
- Gather and organize client data, documentation, and system access needed for launch
- Coordinate setup of accounting systems, payroll, bill pay, document management, and banking access
- Review client financial information to identify data gaps and ensure onboarding readiness
Process Development & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and refine onboarding SOPs, templates, and tools to support scalability
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, communication, and client experience
- Partner with delivery teams post-launch to ensure successful transition and capture feedback
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 8–12 years of professional experience, with a mix of accounting, operations, or client service
- 3–6+ years of experience in onboarding, implementation, project management, or client-facing coordination roles
- Background in outsourced accounting, CAS/CAAS, public accounting, or professional services environments strongly preferred
Key Skill Sets
- Strong understanding of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and business operations
- Familiarity with small and midsize enterprise organizations, including common leadership structures, financial reporting needs, and operational challenges.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, timelines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Tech-savvy, with experience using CRM systems, project management tools, and accounting or financial platforms
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and cross-functional teams
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement
