Job Description

Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator

Who We Are

TruCut Incorporated is the leading supplier of out-of-production and low-volume service parts for the HVAC industry. With more than 50 years of experience, we specialize in providing comprehensive solutions for manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution for our OEM customers.

We operate three manufacturing facilities in Salem and Sebring, Ohio, and a distribution center in Alliance, Ohio—home to over 100 dedicated team members. We’re ISO 9001:2015 certified, practice Open Book Management, and play The Great Game of Business because we believe work should be rewarding and engaging.

Right now, we’re looking to bring an EH&S Coordinator on board due to tremendous growth opportunities—someone who is passionate about safety, proactive in solving problems, while being eager to be part of a collaborative and growing team.

Types of Things You’ll Be Doing

As an EH&S Coordinator, you’ll be a go-to person for environmental health and safety related questions and help create a positive, compliant, and safety-first work environment. You’ll build relationships with employees across all facilities and work with department leaders to ensure consistency in applying safety policies, supporting employee relations, and promoting a safe and respectful workplace.

Some of the work you’ll be doing includes:

· Be driving force the behind safety—design and lead programs that keep our people

protected and our operations are running strong.

· Get out on the floor and make an impact daily by spotting hazards, solving problems, and

helping teams create safer ways to work.

· Bring safety to life through engaging training, toolbox talks, and creative communication

that people actually enjoy and remember.

· Own the big picture and the details—from OSHA compliance and reporting to making sure

nothing slips through the cracks.

· Lead incident investigations that matter—dig into root causes, fix issues at the source, and

help prevent them from happening again.

· Turn data into action by tracking safety trends, identifying opportunities, and driving

continuous improvement across the organization.

· Partner across teams and beyond—work with leadership, employees, and external groups

like BWC to keep safety programs strong and evolving.

Types of Things You Won’t Be Doing

You won’t be stuck behind a desk all day or buried in corporate red tape. In fact, we prefer that you are at our various locations, on the floor, interacting with your colleagues and constantly looking for ways to improve our safety programs while identifying potential hazards.

You also won’t be asked to do it all alone—our HR & Safety Manager along with our HR Generalist will be your teammates and support system. Bonus: no filing cabinets full of chaos—we actually care about organized records!

How We Define Success in This Role

Success here means you’re approachable, dependable, and consistent. People know they can count on you to follow through, speak up when something’s off, and be a voice for what’s right. You’ll thrive if you’re curious, resourceful, and can balance being empathetic with being firm.

What We’d Like from You

Ideally, you have a bachelor’s degree in occupational health & services —or equivalent. You have at least two years of experience in the field with, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and you understand the importance of confidentiality, communication, and keeping things organized. You’re comfortable with Microsoft Office, learning new systems, and asking questions.

What You’ll Get in Return

  • A competitive wage based on experience and skills.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Supplemental insurance availability.
  • 401(k) with 4% match.
  • Gainsharing bonuses of up to 15%.
  • A company-funded $25,000 life insurance policy.
  • Paid holidays (8, or 9 if you’re a veteran!) and PTO.
  • Tuition reimbursement for job-related continuing education.
  • A positive, stable work environment where people genuinely enjoy coming to work—and eating donuts on Fridays.

Who Are Your Coworkers?

You’ll be working with down-to-earth, smart, and driven people who care about their work and their coworkers. We’re a team of problem-solvers, DIYers, parents, musicians, coaches, travelers, and people who believe in doing great work and treating others with respect.

Sound like a fit. Send us your resume and anything else you think we should know. We can’t wait to meet you.
