Reporting to the EHS Director, the Environmental, Safety and Health Manager will be located in our Medina, OH facility. Serves as a strategic and tactical specialist for all environmental and safety processes including audits, assessments, training, and legal compliance. Provides support and consultation to the department leaders and team members. This role will work closely with the EHS Director and local and state environmental processes.
Key Responsibilities
· Verifies compliance with health and safety regulations and ensures all necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines.
· Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected coordinate with Operations on facility deficiencies and monthly safety inspections.
· Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements for the site.
· Provide daily guidance and direction, including process documentation, in EHS programs at the employee / supervisor / manager level to ensure a common and effective approach.
· Lead the Emergency Response Team and comply with all Company policies and procedures.
· Manages safety, health and site environmental project work and ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
· Acts as an advisor to the Plant level safety committee and management regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
· Coordinate maintaining the Site Preparedness and Emergency Plans & Procedures.
· Partner with Site Leadership in handling employee relations issues such as investigations and corrective action related to employee injuries and safety policy violations.
· Assists in the coordination and implementation of training programs related to safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
· Competency in root cause analysis, PHA and proactive problem solving.
· Perform other duties and special projects as required.
· Partner with Human Resources to facilitate worker’s compensation process and maintain OHSA 300 Log.
Requirements:Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, chemical engineering
· 5-7 years in a manufacturing environment as a safety professional
· Proficiency with RMP and PSM Program Management
· Proficiency with annual compliance reporting; Tier II, Air Emissions, Waste, etc.
· Safety certification credentials are a plus (CSP, CHMM, CIH, CPEA, OHST, CESCO)
· Must have effective verbal and written English communication skills
· Able to respond to facility and employee issues on a 24/7 schedule
· Able to work on site minimum 40 hours a week supporting a 24-hour operation
· Able to work on site with a minimum of one split shift every other week
· Ability to travel at least 10% to collaborate with partner sites on network programs

· Strong computer skills; Smartsheet, Excel and Power Point
· Experience in navigating Agency audits; OSHA, EPA, DEP and Fire Code Compliance
· Must have strong knowledge of State and Federal laws; OSHA, EPA, DEP and NFPA
