Job Description
The Fabrication Lead for the night shift plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the fabrication operations during overnight hours to ensure continuous production flow and adherence to quality standards. This position is responsible for leading a team of fabricators, coordinating workflow, and maintaining safety protocols to meet production targets efficiently. The role requires close collaboration with other departments such as engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance to resolve any issues that arise during fabrication processes. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in fabrication or welding preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding techniques, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Availability and willingness to work the night shift schedule consistently.
- Bilingual Spanish and English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) or fabrication-related credentials.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with computerized production tracking systems and quality management software.
- Previous experience leading night shift teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills related to fabrication equipment.
Responsibilities:
