Job Description:
SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Specialist must have the training, skills, and knowledge to receive, perform warehousing/storage functions (such as identification, segregation, density compliance, etc.), issue, and prepare materials for shipping. As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties which requires an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Verifies materials against documents, noting and
reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing/performing alternate location assignments of materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, consolidating, and/or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods and local planography. Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage, and preparing it for shipment. Use DSS or equivalent WMS and other Government Data Systems to perform the requirements in the PWS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage.
Removes material from storage and prepares/stages it for conveyance and delivers it to the proper destination.
Picks and pulls material as ordered by the requestor to the applicable destination.
Create and print manifests via DSS or manually through other programs.
Verify material in accordance with applicable SOPs and process manuals.
Performs Floor to Book counts (F2B) and location maintenance of all storage locations.
Performs housekeeping functions IAW applicable SOPs and the direction of the management team.
Support and participate in the companys Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) and Quality Assurance Program (QAP) to
ensure superior customer service to all customers.
Follow strict procedures to include but not limited to all company policies, procedures, and/or established Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs) and process manuals.
Work overtime as needed to meet the contractual obligations in support of established Acceptable Performance Levels (APL).
Operate material handling equipment (MHE) including but not limited to pallet jacks, motorized forklifts, elevated.
work platforms, and tug.
Performs detailed warehouse operations to maximize proper storage requirements including reaching and maintaining density.

Follows all federal OSHA guidelines and base/company safety and occupational health plans.
Follow all local/base policies and/or regulations.

This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.
6:30AM-3:00PM (M-F)
7:00AM-3:30PM (M-F)
2:30PM-11:PM (M-F)
5:00AM-1:30PM Saturday

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Essential :
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of related experience.
Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.
Must be able to multitask and complete assignments accurately and on time.
Must have a Forklift certification.
Must have the ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail.
Must be reliable, responsible, and able to fulfill obligations.
Must be skilled in problem resolution, material handling equipment and hand truck operation.

Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization. Ability to interpret instructions and information and explain to others in the performance of this job in English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods oftime. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50pounds. Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling material. Working at elevated heights. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone. Wearing of safety equipment (PPE) Personal Protective Equipment is required during all periods of exposure to hazardous conditions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:
This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site. May be exposed to inclement/extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may vary from moderate to high, depending on location. Job will require working flexible hours, sometimes under short notice, to accommodate for mission requirements to include weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required.

Transportation & Access: You must have reliable transportation to and from work and be able to access military installations.
Background & Drug Screening: Employment requires passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Random drug and alcohol testing may also occur without prior notice.
Timesheets: Record your actual work hours daily and ensure your entries are accurate and timely to support smooth operations.
Dress & Punctuality: Arrive on time and dress appropriately for your shift.
