Job Description
Basic Function
The HUB assistant is tasked with assisting the HUB staff and students with day to day operations. This is
an on site position. Hours may flex depending on the HUB location. HUB assistant will be the “face” of
the HUB welcoming community members, staff, and most importantly students. They will be familiar with
resources provided by the site and able to answer enrollment questions or be able to find out the answer.
This role is essential in creating a positive and inclusive environment for students and visitors. The Center
Assistant will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, assisting with inquiries, and
facilitating effective communication within the HUB.
The Key Performance Indicator (KPI) that measures the HUB Student Assistant’s efficacy and
successfulness is the engagement of students that come to a HUB. Success in this position will be
determined by assisting staff to ensure 70% of HUB regulars meeting their monthly expected progress.
Responsibilities
1. Front Desk Support: Welcome students and visitors, providing a friendly and professional first
point of contact. Manage inquiries and direct to the appropriate staff member. Maintain a tidy and
organized workspace.
2. Student Welcome/Assistance: Create a welcoming environment for students entering the HUB.
Assist students with inquiries, directing them to the appropriate resources. Assist with events as
directed.
3. Admin Support: Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and attendance.
Collaborate with other departments as needed.
4. Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of student attendance and other relevant data. Assist
with confidentiality and security of student information.
5. All other duties as assigned.

Degree: High school diploma required; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience
sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Experience
2 years of administrative experience. You are required to obtain and maintain a Level 1 Fingerprint
Clearance Card.
