About This Position

Description:

Port Royal Club, located in the heart of the prestigious Port Royal neighborhood in south Naples, Florida, is a private beach club dedicated to luxury, leisure, and exceptional service. Membership is exclusively tied to property ownership within the Port Royal community, making the Club a cornerstone of one of the most distinguished addresses in the country.

Our Club offers an array of world-class amenities, including a 10,000-square-foot fitness center featuring yoga, Pilates, and spin classes, as well as a serene spa for wellness and rejuvenation. The tennis center boasts nine Har-Tru clay courts and a 1,300-square-foot pro shop, catering to both recreational and competitive players.

Following the impact of Hurricane Ian in 2022, the Club has embarked on a $100 million redevelopment to reimagine our facilities. The new 62,000 sq ft clubhouse—set to open in fall 2026—will embrace timeless West Indies architecture and offer an elevated member experience, featuring a coffee shop, three signature restaurants with indoor and outdoor dining overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, four bars, a banquet venue, a lap pool, and access to our pristine private beach.

This is an exciting time to join Port Royal Club as we prepare to unveil a new chapter in our storied history.

The Director of Club Events is a visionary leader responsible for shaping the social heartbeat of the Port Royal Club. This role oversees the full creative and operational direction of the Club’s events and social programming, ensuring every experience reflects the Club’s longstanding reputation for elegance, and exceptional member service.

As the curator of the Club’s event identity, the Director transforms concepts into elevated experiences that strengthen member engagement, build community, and celebrate the Port Royal Club lifestyle. This includes crafting a year-round calendar of signature celebrations, holiday traditions, cultural experiences, and intimate gatherings—all designed with meticulous attention to detail and aligned with trends in high end hospitality.

Working collaboratively across departments, the Director ensures seamless planning and flawless execution of events by harmonizing culinary innovation, décor aesthetics, entertainment quality, and operational logistics. The role requires a balance of creativity and precision: envisioning fresh, inspiring concepts while managing budgets, vendor partnerships, timelines, and high expectation environments.

As the Club enters an exciting new era with the opening of the reimagined 62,000 square foot clubhouse, the Director of Club Events plays a pivotal role in defining how members experience these new spaces. This leader will elevate longstanding traditions, introduce new programmatic offerings, and cultivate an event culture that complements the Club’s expanded amenities and refined architectural atmosphere.

Above all, the Director of Club Events ensures that every gathering—whether an intimate dinner or a grand gala—delivers a sense of warmth, sophistication, and unforgettable quality that distinguishes the Port Royal Club as one of the nation’s premier private clubs.
