About This Position
Akira Technologies is seeking a Senior Data Integration Specialist (Team Lead) to provide leadership and technical oversight supporting intelligence data integration activities across mission systems and operational environments. This role ensures alignment of data governance, architecture, interoperability, and intelligence information-sharing efforts with enterprise standards and mission requirements.
The Team Lead supervises personnel supporting intelligence planning, collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination functions while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external mission partners to enable secure and effective intelligence data exchange.
This is an onsite role supporting a federal client in Fort Belvoir, VA. An active DoD TS/SCI with an ability to obtain CI Polygraph is required.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team supporting intelligence planning, collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination activities.
- Provide technical leadership supporting intelligence data integration initiatives across mission systems and operational environments.
- Support enterprise-level data integration efforts including:
- Data governance
- Data architecture
- Data warehousing
- Data quality management
- Metadata management
- Data operations management
- Data discovery
- Coordinate intelligence information-sharing efforts with bilateral and multilateral partners to enhance interoperability across intelligence systems and organizations.
- Support foreign disclosure and intelligence dissemination activities in accordance with applicable policies and security requirements.
- Deliver professional briefings and presentations to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
- Draft, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related technical documentation.
- Produce reports incorporating text and graphics to communicate complex technical and operational concepts.
- Support coordination with small teams and stakeholders on data requirements, integration priorities, and workflow alignment.
- Ensure integration activities align with Intelligence Community standards, Army guidance, and mission objectives.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in intelligence, data sciences, or other related field from an accredited college or university. (Acceptable substitution: Associate's degree plus seven (7) years of experience in an intelligence discipline OR High school diploma plus nine (9) years of experience in an intelligence discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of demonstrated experience providing intelligence data integration support, including:
- Data governance
- Data architecture
- Data warehousing
- Data quality management
- Metadata management
- Data operations management
- Data discovery
- Minimum 4 years of demonstrated experience leading teams supporting intelligence planning, collection, processing, analysis, or dissemination activities.
- Demonstrated experience supporting foreign disclosure, intelligence dissemination, or equivalent intelligence information-sharing activities.
- Demonstrated experience supporting bilateral or multilateral intelligence information-sharing environments or intelligence data/system interoperability initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver professional briefings and presentations to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to draft and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to produce reports incorporating text and graphics to communicate complex concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with small groups supporting data and information requirements and integration tasks.
- Active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance with an ability to obtain CI Polygraph
- Ability to obtain DoDD 8140.01 (formerly DoDD 8570.01-M) IAT Level II certification within 30 days of indoctrination at HQ INSCOM
Desired Skills

Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000
Akira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization. This pay range estimate is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary, which Akira believes to be done in good faith in compliance with local laws. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
