Inbound Sales Development Representative

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Inbound Sales Development Representative based in United States.

The Inbound Sales Development Representative will be the first point of contact for nonprofits and universities exploring solutions to help them secure and manage grant funding. Reporting to the Senior Sales Development Manager, you will qualify inbound leads, engage warm prospects, and create high-quality opportunities for the sales team. This is a high-volume, hands-on sales role where speed, empathy, curiosity, and attention to detail are essential. You will build meaningful relationships with mission-driven organizations while developing a strong foundation in consultative and SaaS sales. The role offers significant exposure to pipeline generation, CRM management, prospect qualification, and sales strategy. It is well suited to an early-career sales professional or someone transitioning into sales who is motivated by measurable results and meaningful customer impact.

Accountabilities:
  • Respond quickly and thoughtfully to inbound leads, ensuring prospects receive a warm, professional, and highly responsive experience.
  • Qualify inbound prospects based on their needs, organization type, goals, and potential fit.
  • Generate significant top-of-funnel activity through outbound calls and emails to warm prospects, with a target of 400+ dials per week.
  • Consistently schedule 10+ product demonstrations per week for the sales team through effective prospect engagement and follow-up.
  • Build trust with prospects through fast follow-through, strong attention to detail, and genuine customer empathy.
  • Maintain accurate account, contact, and decision-maker information within the CRM.
  • Learn and communicate the product value proposition effectively across different nonprofit, university, and mission-driven organizations.
  • Conduct high-quality prospect conversations that uncover needs, challenges, priorities, and potential opportunities.
  • Share insights, objections, recurring questions, and blockers from prospect conversations to help improve sales messaging and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader sales team to ensure qualified opportunities are properly positioned for successful handoff and conversion.
  • Continuously improve outreach approaches, qualification techniques, product knowledge, and sales effectiveness.
  • Contribute to a fast-paced, results-oriented sales environment while maintaining a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused approach.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of professional sales experience, or 3+ years of experience in another industry with a strong interest in transitioning into sales.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with ambitious activity and performance expectations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with prospects.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with genuine empathy and enthusiasm for helping mission-driven organizations.
  • Strong curiosity and a desire to understand how products, customers, and business challenges work.
  • Bias toward action, with the initiative and persistence to take ownership and move opportunities forward.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage prospect information accurately.
  • Comfortable performing high-volume outreach and consistently following up with prospective customers.
  • Receptive to feedback and willing to continuously refine sales techniques and approaches.
  • Humble, collaborative, and positive, with a sense of humor and willingness to support teammates.
  • Resourceful and willing to take ownership of challenging tasks while maintaining high standards.
  • Internship or leadership experience is a plus.
  • Interest in startups, SaaS, technology, or the nonprofit sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or sales engagement platforms is a plus.
Benefits:
  • $65,000 USD base salary + $25,000 USD variable compensation, for a target OTE of $90,000 USD.
  • Final compensation determined based on experience, skills, scope of responsibility, interview performance, and geographic location.
  • Commitment to competitive and equitable compensation.
  • 100% employer-covered health, dental, and vision insurance for employees, with 50% coverage for dependents.
  • Generous paid time off, including parental leave.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Company-provided laptop.
  • Home-office stipend.
  • Bi-annual company retreats.
  • Opportunity to grow within a rapidly evolving SaaS environment.
  • Hands-on development in sales qualification, prospecting, pipeline generation, CRM management, and consultative selling.
  • Exposure to mission-driven nonprofit and higher-education organizations and the challenges they face in securing funding.
  • Inclusive workplace committed to equal opportunity and welcoming candidates from diverse backgrounds.
