Salary: $65,000 per year
Location: 70 Carolyn Blvd, Farmingdale NY, 11735
Schedule: Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm

Summary of Role:

The Receiving Manager oversees all receiving and putaway operations, coordinating incoming freight, leading the team in processing purchase orders, and ensuring accurate receipt and system entry in Deposco. This role manages the receiving team and putaway process. The Receiving Manager maintains quality and compliance standards and resolves discrepancies with Supply Chain and Finance. The manager trains staff, upholds safety protocols, and maintains a clean, organized, and compliant receiving area. This is a full time, non-exempt position and will report directly to the Director of the Distribution Center.
Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage the receiving and putaway teams to ensure alignment, accountability, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide daily guidance, task prioritization, and performance oversight for inbound and warehouse-related activities.
  • Collaborate closely with freight forwarders and inbound logistics partners to effectively coordinate and schedule timely deliveries for both E-Commerce and Wholesale operations.
  • Train and coach team members on proper inventory handling, system processes, and equipment safety.
  • Review and correct system errors related to inventory movements within Deposco.
  • Review incoming freight schedules with the Ecom and Wholesale Receiving teams and coordinate delivery timing with carriers and drivers.
  • Lead the breakdown and sorting of new purchase orders upon arrival.
  • Manages the verification process of product quantities against supplier packing lists and ensures accurate receipt in Deposco.
  • Inspect incoming freight for quality issues, including carrier damages and supplier compliance discrepancies.
  • Report and follow up on purchase order discrepancies with Supply Chain and Finance teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of units received and ensure proper three-way match verification with supplier invoices.
  • Ensure all received inventory is cleared from the receiving location immediately after system receipt.
  • Oversee and coordinate the full putaway process, working closely with the Inventory Lead to place inventory into appropriate pickable and reserve locations.
  • Ensure proper inventory movements are executed in Deposco to maintain system integrity and real-time accuracy.
  • Monitor inbound inventory flow to prevent bottlenecks and maintain efficient dock-to-stock timelines.
  • Enforce safety protocols when operating forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant receiving and warehouse area.
  • Promote adherence to company policies, compliance standards, and operational best practices.
  • Contributes to a positive work environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of warehouse receiving or inventory experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control processes
  • Experience with WMS or inventory management systems
  • Proven ability to manage teams and drive performance
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced environment
