At Texas Hydraulics, precision matters. We're looking for a Lead CNC Machinist on 2nd shift who enjoys solving problems, helping teammates succeed, and leading from the floor.
This is a working lead role. You'll spend most of your time machining while serving as the primary technical resource for second shift. You'll help keep work moving, support your team, and maintain quality and safety standards.

Schedule: 2nd shift (3:30p-2a)
Shift Differential: Additional $3/hr for hours worked on 2nd shift
Overtime: Available as needed based on customer demand
What You'll Do
Machining Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC and related machining equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing documentation
• Load, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs as needed
• Select tooling and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
• Perform setup verification and in-process inspections
• Troubleshoot machining issues and minimize scrap or rework
• Maintain safe and efficient work practices
Lead Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary machining resource for second shift operations
• Support team members with technical questions and troubleshooting
• Help prioritize work based on production needs and schedules
• Assist with onboarding and training new employees
• Reinforce safety expectations, quality standards, and standard work practices
• Communicate shift concerns, production needs, and improvement opportunities to leadership
• Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and teamwork
What We're Looking For
• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years of machining experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with CNC setup, operation, and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling
• Previous lead, mentoring, or informal leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer proficiency including Outlook and Excel

Work Environment
This is hands-on manufacturing work.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise
- Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and non-weather-related heat
- Risk of electrical shock in certain areas

Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Stand, walk, and move throughout the shift
- Use hands for tools, materials, and machine controls
- Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Ability to communicate and hear clearly in a manufacturing environment
