Job Summary
This individual will support molding production by the conditioning of new molds in developing and documenting a stable molding process to be used in manufacturing.
Essential Functions
Creation and documentation of a consistent molding process for new molds needed to reach quality approval and insure future production. On-site regular, reliable attendance is required.
Requirements:ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Individual must be able and willing to work with mold design to determine what changes will produce the best results.
Individual may also be required to fill in for production personnel on a temporary basis.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Individual must be capable of interpreting blueprints and have a good understanding of universal processing concepts (i.e. pressures, temperatures, profiling, etc.). Must have a good understanding of universal mold tooling practices and terminology (i.e. shut offs, tool fitting, venting, polishing, etc.). Must be able to be trained in the understanding of the strip feeding and automation to enable troubleshooting and improvements.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
· Must have previous experience in conditioning of new molds and/or establishing processes for a production mold.
· Hands on experience in multi-cavity, close tolerance mold assembly is necessary.
· A two year technical degree is preferred.
