Our High Point, NC location has an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Technician to join our rapidly growing team. Our Warehouse Technicians provide support to the High Point shipping, receiving and warehouse operations by unloading and storing raw materials; handling and staging finished goods and handling packaging materials, additionally performing correct handling and storing of downgraded materials.

Summary(What/Why/Coverage)-Main Activities:
The Warehouse Technician I is responsible for material handling, including raw materials, finished goods, and scrap materials. This role primarily focuses on unloading and loading trucks, moving finished goods from the manufacturing line to the warehouse, and supplying raw materials to production lines. The position ensures accurate inventory movement, compliance with safety protocols, and operational efficiency to support manufacturing and logistics functions.

Technical Competencies:
- Experience with warehouse management systems (ERP, RF scanners) for tracking inventory movements.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Understanding of FIFO principles to ensure proper inventory rotation.
- Ability to read and interpret measurements using rulers, tape measures, or other devices in both standard and metric units.
- Familiarity with forklift operation and lift truck inspections.
- Proficiency ERP systems for shipping and receiving tasks.
Key Responsibilities(What/How):
Material Handling & Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
- Deliver raw materials to production lines and move finished goods to warehouse locations.
- Utilize RF scanners and ERP systems to track material movement.
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) principles are followed for inventory rotation.
- Deliver materials to production KANBAN areas as needed.
- Support on inventory counts activities.
Shipping & Receiving Operations:
- Unload and load trucks, ensuring all shipments meet company standards.
- Process shipping documentation accurately and in compliance with company procedures.
- Stage, scan, inspect, and load outbound finished product shipments to eliminate shipping errors.
- Conduct trailer inspections and ensure compliance with Fitesa’s shipping guidelines.
Warehouse Organization & Safety Compliance:
- Keep warehouse areas clean and organized, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Conduct forklift inspections and follow safety procedures in material handling.
- Identify and report any warehouse-related safety concerns or equipment malfunctions.
Continuous Improvement & Problem-Solving:
- Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to optimize warehouse efficiency.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of inventory discrepancies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material flow and reduce waste.
Educational Requirements:
Required: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Technical Competencies:
- Ability to use a calculator.
- Ability to learn and become proficient with FIRM, DYNAMICS, ADP, and other internal database and tracking software.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and good mechanical abilities are preferred.
- Ability to apply basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to read and interpret measurement from a ruler, tape measure, or other measuring device in standard and metric systems.
- Familiarity with RF Scanner.
Physical Demands: This position requires frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. The position requires frequent lifting, walks and stands for long periods of time, and performs strenuous physical labor under extreme temperatures. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
