About This Position

Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, quality control, and cost effectiveness. This role works cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to support ongoing operations and new product launches.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes for assembly, fabrication, and integration.
  2. Collaborate with product design engineers to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability (DFM).
  3. Create and update work instructions, assembly documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  4. Lead and support process improvement initiatives (LEAN, 5S, Kaizen, etc.).
  5. Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues related to quality, efficiency, and tooling.
  6. Analyze production data and conduct root cause analyses to reduce waste and downtime.
  7. Recommend and implement changes to improve safety, reduce costs, and increase throughput.
  8. Design tools, fixtures, and jigs to aid in the production process.
  9. Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts to ensure smooth production launches.
  10. Provide technical support and training to assembly and production staff.
Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role (preferably in equipment or machinery manufacturing).Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and assembly techniques.Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.Working knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing documentation.Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.Hands-on approach with a team-first mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience in metal fabrication or equipment assembly.
  2. Understanding of PLCs, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  3. Experience supporting a product line through its full lifecycle in a manufacturing setting.
