Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager leads the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function and serves as a strategic partner to leadership on workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness. This role owns the full employee life cycle — from onboarding through performance management, learning and development, and offboarding. The HR Manager is responsible for building and maintaining sound HR policy, ensuring compliance with employment law, and championing a positive, high-performing culture. This individual will handle highly sensitive employee matters and must exercise strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the full employee life cycle, including onboarding, performance management, learning and development, and offboarding processes
- Own employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and coaching people managers on performance and disciplinary issues
- Partner with department leaders to translate business goals into workforce planning, staffing, and organizational design decisions
- Design, implement, and continuously improve performance management programs and processes
- Direct the development and ongoing maintenance of the learning management system, including training curricula that support company-wide programs
- Analyze HR metrics and reporting from the HRIS to identify trends and recommend data-driven improvements
- Be involved with U.S. payroll processing and Lithuanian-based employee time/payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations; prepare and review leave of absence documentation, agreements, and offer letters
- Be involved with benefits administration strategy, including vendor relationships, HRIS integrations, annual open enrollment, and employee inquiries
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and culture-building programs across the organization
- Develop, update, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience managing HR processes and/or staff
- Prior experience supporting or leading HR functions in a hybrid or multi-location organization is a plus
Qualifications/Skills:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Word)
- Proficiency with HR software required (Paylocity a plus)
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and sound judgment on sensitive and confidential matters
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization

Physical Requirements
- Must have a dedicated and ergonomic workspace conducive to focused work when working remotely
- Access to a stable and reliable high-speed internet connection
- Adequate lighting and minimal background noise to support professional video calls and meetings
- Ability to lift and carry up to 5 pounds occasionally, for tasks such as setting up a workstation or equipment
- The ability to work comfortably and effectively in a home environment that meets ergonomic standards, including proper seating and desk setup
