Regional Finance Director – Southeast Region

Location: Sanford, FL (American Plumbing, Air & Electric), Tampa, FL (Acree Plumbing Air & Electric), Rockledge, FL (Freedom Air & Plumbing) or Savannah, GA (Canady's Heating, Air & Plumbing)
Compensation: $160,000 - $170,000 + 25% Annual Bonus + Equity participation opportunity

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Regional Finance Director to serve as the strategic finance partner for our Southeast Region, supporting operations across Florida and Georgia.

Position Summary

The Regional Finance Director oversees financial operations, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management for MTG's Southeast Region. This role serves as the key financial business partner to Regional Operations Leadership, helping drive profitability, improve financial performance, and support strategic decision-making across multiple residential home service businesses.

This individual acts as the bridge between field operations and the Finance and Accounting organization, providing financial leadership, actionable insights, and coaching to business leaders throughout the region.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, operationally minded, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

What You'll DoFinancial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead regional budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and financial reporting activities.
  • Conduct actual vs. budget reviews, variance analysis, projections, and scenario planning.
  • Support consolidated management reporting, ad hoc financial analysis, bonus calculations, and financial system administration.
  • Provide meaningful insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.
Financial Performance Management
  • Monitor and analyze key business performance indicators including:
    • Leads
    • Booking Rate
    • Cancel Rate
    • Lead-to-Win Rate
    • Revenue
    • Gross Profit
    • Labor Performance
  • Utilize reporting tools and dashboards to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Conduct daily and weekly KPI reviews with regional and branch leadership.
  • Drive accountability and performance improvement initiatives across the region.
Accounting & Financial Operations
  • Partner with Accounting teams to support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, job costing, and month-end close activities.
  • Ensure financial accuracy across multiple entities and locations.
  • Assist in reducing out-of-period expenses and improving financial statement accuracy.
  • Support internal controls and financial process improvements.
Leadership, Coaching & Business Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Regional Vice Presidents, General Managers, and Branch Leadership.
  • Coach and mentor operational leaders on:
    • P&L management
    • Financial literacy
    • KPI management
    • Working capital management
    • Inventory management
    • Accounts receivable performance
  • Influence business decisions through data-driven recommendations and financial analysis.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • 8-10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience.
  • Significant leadership experience supporting multi-location or multi-entity operations.
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience utilizing business intelligence and reporting tools.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel periodically throughout Florida and Georgia.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or similar professional certification.
  • Experience in residential services, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, or field service industries.
  • Experience supporting private equity-backed organizations.
  • Familiarity with ServiceTitan, Oracle, Power BI, or similar systems.
  • Experience partnering directly with operational leadership teams.

Working Conditions
  • Hybrid work environment based out of one of our Southeast operating companies.
  • Regular interaction with executive leadership, regional leadership, and branch management teams.
  • Periodic travel to branch locations throughout Florida and Georgia.
  • Professional office environment with standard computer and office equipment use.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on occasion.
