As a Sales Manager, Specialty and Genetics, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies across assigned markets while building strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders. You will identify revenue opportunities, support customer engagement, and contribute to the growth of specialized services through strategic planning and effective execution.
- Develop and manage sales plans, budgets, and strategies focused on healthcare providers, physicians, geneticists, and other key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities to increase revenue and expand service offerings.
- Analyze market trends, competitor information, clinical guidelines, and industry insights to refine sales approaches and positioning.
- Create and execute structured sales plans and customer engagement strategies to effectively communicate key value propositions.
- Present, negotiate, and influence discussions with healthcare professionals, genetic counselors, and decision-makers to drive business opportunities.
- Identify customer challenges related to service access and collaborate with internal teams to develop effective solutions.
- Share customer insights, market feedback, and strategic recommendations with leadership teams.
- Partner with operational teams to support smooth customer onboarding and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain accountability for achieving sales targets, revenue objectives, and business growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare sales professional with strong relationship-building skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a passion for advancing specialized healthcare solutions. You are comfortable working independently, managing complex sales cycles, and engaging with technical and executive audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in a scientific, healthcare, business, or related discipline; preference given to candidates with genetics or genetic counseling backgrounds.
- 3+ years of experience selling healthcare services, solutions, or products to healthcare professionals and industry opinion leaders.
- Established relationships within the healthcare provider community.
- Proven ability to achieve or exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and business objectives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify market opportunities and develop strategic sales plans.
- Experience managing existing accounts while successfully generating new business opportunities.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and closing skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for technical and senior-level audiences.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and adapt quickly in a changing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively as required.
- Competitive annual salary range of $84,000 to $105,000.
