Mission Assurance Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mission Assurance Analyst based in United States.

This role supports an established Insider Risk Program focused on protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive missions.
You will combine cyber, intelligence, technical, and human-risk perspectives to identify and assess potential insider threats.
The position involves analyzing diverse intelligence sources, investigating anomalies, and developing actionable intelligence products.
You will contribute to insider risk investigations, operational support, damage assessments, and intelligence inquiries.
The role also includes third-party and supply-chain due diligence, helping senior leaders understand organizational and cyber-related risks.
You will operate in a mission-focused environment where analytical rigor, discretion, and adherence to customer requirements are essential.

Accountabilities
  • Conduct threat analysis and intelligence fusion: Review, correlate, and analyze all-source intelligence, including OSINT, CYBINT, and closed commercial intelligence, to assess foreign intelligence and criminal capabilities, tactics, techniques, and procedures targeting U.S. critical infrastructure.

  • Support insider risk investigations: Provide analytical support for investigations, operations, damage assessments, and intelligence inquiries while identifying relevant leads, anomalies, and emerging risks.

  • Detect insider risk indicators: Collaborate with insider risk analysts and apply technical expertise to integrate User Activity Monitoring (UAM), User Behavior Analysis, retrospective analysis, travel disclosures, and technical or behavioral indicators.

  • Perform supply-chain and partner due diligence: Conduct organizational and vendor risk assessments and develop vulnerability reports tailored to senior leadership and mission requirements.

  • Conduct cyber due diligence: Assess third-party risk intelligence, including technology stacks, domains, subdomains, DNS, WHOIS, IP infrastructure, cyber supply chains, ransomware susceptibility, financial exposure, compromised credentials, and high-risk assets.

  • Develop intelligence products: Independently produce intelligence reports, formal analytic products, FOCI threat advisories, and strategic assessments aligned with applicable industry and analytical best practices.

  • Apply mission and customer requirements: Conduct all analytical and investigative activities in accordance with established Insider Risk Program procedures, customer guidelines, and applicable standards.

  • Collaborate across disciplines: Work under the direction of the Insider Risk Program Manager while integrating technical, intelligence, and human dimensions into comprehensive risk analysis.

Requirements
  • Professional experience: 7+ years of relevant experience in intelligence analysis, counterintelligence, insider risk, cybersecurity analysis, or a closely related field.

  • Insider threat expertise: Previous experience supporting counterintelligence or intelligence analysis within an insider threat program is preferred, particularly in federal, national security, or cleared environments.

  • Mission experience: Experience supporting federal law enforcement, intelligence community, national security, or critical infrastructure missions, with a strong understanding of associated operational environments.

  • Analytical capabilities: Demonstrated ability to fuse information from multiple intelligence sources, identify patterns and anomalies, evaluate threats, and produce actionable assessments.

  • Cybersecurity knowledge: Strong understanding of cyber threat intelligence, technical infrastructure, third-party risk, compromised credentials, cyber supply chains, and related risk indicators.

  • Counterintelligence training: Completion of accredited foundational counterintelligence training, such as CISAC, technically trained agent programs, CIASAC, or equivalent service or agency training, is preferred.

  • Certification: Certified Counter-Insider Threat Professional (CCITP) certification is desirable.

  • Clearance: Active Top Secret security clearance is required.

  • Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to independently develop formal intelligence products and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.

  • Professional judgment: Ability to handle sensitive information responsibly, work independently, collaborate effectively, and maintain analytical objectivity in a mission-focused environment.
