Job Summary:

The Core Returns Clerk processes daily core returns and works with customers to collect past due cores.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Assist in processing daily core returns

· Scan and file daily core return paperwork obtained from Receiving

· Process returned cores in the company’s financial system and update past due core report

· Send past due core list to customers on a scheduled basis or as requested

· Contact customers regarding past due cores

· Process customer invoices/credit memos for past due cores

· Process credits for the return of past due cores

· Assist customers with core questions

· Run weekly core aging reports

· Attend weekly meeting to review past due and returned core report. Discuss collectability issues and determine resolution

· Scheduling incoming/outgoing freight pick ups

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

· Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks to meet established deadlines

· Ability to function effectively in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent

Education classes in accounting, finance, or business management are desirable

Accounts receivable or customer relations experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
