Job Description
Position: Kids Early Childhood Coordinator
Location: CAMPUS
Reports to: Kids Pastor/Director
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Job Status: Part-time, up to 25 hours per week
The Kids Early Childhood Coordinator is an integral part of the Kids Ministry team, responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of early childhood curriculum and classroom experiences. This role includes creating, editing, and adapting content for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring it is age-appropriate, engaging, and prepared in advance for weekly use.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain personal, physical, emotional, and spiritual health while growing in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Connect regularly with the Kids Ministry Pastor on the vision of Bayside and the Kids Ministry.
- Work as part of the Kids Ministry team and assist in developing a strategic vision for Kids Ministry.
- Be present at all weekend services and key ministry events as directed.
- Verify that the downloaded curriculum is from Gospel Project and has been adapted, making any necessary changes and differentiating it for the appropriate age group if/when needed.
- Develop or adapt activities and crafts that reinforce the Bible story for ages 2-4.
- Adapt or develop craft and activity instructions.
- Develop props for Early Childhood storytelling.
- Verify that all curriculum and anything needed for each week are on Playlister (ensure that the title slides, worship, craft instructions, Bible story videos, etc., are all uploaded).
- Other duties as assigned by the Kids Pastor.
Classroom Experience
- Create and maintain safe, engaging, and age-appropriate environments for all early childhood classrooms.
- Prepare and manage monthly rotations of classroom activities.
- Collaborate with the Kids Pastor to develop and lead volunteer training (storytelling, curriculum implementation, etc.).
- Foster fun, high-energy, clean, and welcoming environments for children and families.
- Work with the Kids Pastor to ensure curriculum supplies are within budget.
Volunteer and Parent Development / Communication
- Enlist, equip, train, and nurture Kids Ministry volunteers.
- Uphold an attitude of grace and compassion when teaching and directing volunteers
- Connect with the new parents and communicate with them weekly.
- Support new families in connecting to the ministry.
Professional Development and Ministry Growth
- Regularly study best practices of other Kids Ministry programs around the country and implement ongoing improvements to curriculum and programs.
- Commit to ongoing leadership and ministry learning.
- Work with the Kids Pastor to develop annual ministry and personal development goals .
Other Duties
- Attend the CAMPUS meetings, Kids team, and Bayside All-Campus/All-Campus meetings as directed.

- Build, lead, and equip a volunteer team that is actively contributing to our overall mission.
- Maintain open and frequent communication with your supervisor, staff, and team.
Qualifications
- 2 year’s experience in related field.
- Proficient in using modern technology tools, with a solid understanding of basic computer operations and the ability to quickly learn new applications and systems.
