Job Description
New Haven Youth & Family Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated clinician to join our clinical team as a Treatment Manager (Clinical Case Manager / Licensed Therapist). This role is based in a residential treatment setting serving high school-aged youth with significant behavioral and social-emotional needs.
In this role, you will serve as the clinical lead for assigned students, providing therapy, coordinating care, and guiding treatment planning in close collaboration with families, school staff, and community providers. This position is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a structured, team-based environment and is committed to supporting youth through stabilization, growth, and successful transition.
What You’ll Do- Provide individual, family, and group therapy for assigned students
- Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment and service plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and student support planning
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with families, school personnel, and community providers to support student success
- Coordinate referrals and access to community-based behavioral health services and resources
- Provide crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization support when needed
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and case records
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, licensing requirements, and ethical standards
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required
- Current California clinical licensure (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) preferred
- Registered Associate (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC) actively accruing hours toward licensure strongly encouraged to apply
- Current graduate-level clinicians registered with the California BBS welcome to apply with 2 to 3 years clinical experience
- 3–5 years of clinical experience working with adolescents and families preferred
- Experience supporting youth with mild to moderate behavioral, emotional, mental health, and social challenges
- Experience in residential treatment, school-based mental health, child welfare, or community behavioral health settings preferred
- Experience working with IEPs, 504 Plans, and multidisciplinary student support teams
- Strong knowledge of adolescent development, family systems, trauma-informed care, and school-based interventions
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work effectively in a structured, team-based environment
- Valid California Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
