Home State Bank is hiring a full-time Personal Banker for our Woodstock, IL branch. This is not a remote or work from home position.
The Personal Banker will sell a full range of banking products and services to existing and prospective customers while providing specialized customer service. Assist management in creating and maintaining the sales environment of the banking center through interactions with customers, the community, and Home State Bank associates.

We are looking for someone with previous Teller or Personal Banker experience.

Sales
- Consistently meet or exceed sales goals as set by banking center management.
- Maintain a well-developed working knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered; taking responsibility to keep up to date and request assistance for further development needs.
- Initiate sales and cross-sell full range of bank and ancillary services to present and potential customers. Generate and track referrals as appropriate.
- Initiate and maintain customer contact through various methods, including telemarketing, outside sales calls, establishing business contacts and attending seminars and community events. Utilize marketing resources and other tools as appropriate.
- Analyze credit and financial information for processing loans and other bank products for customers.
- Assist the management team in coaching and mentoring the teller and CSR staff in the sales process to help develop skills and achieve sales goals.
- Actively participate in sales contests, monthly Blitzes, outbound call campaigns, Expos, and other sales and promotional activities.
- Complete and submit all required sales trackers on a timely basis.
Customer Service
- Promote excellent customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction; have a developed rapport with the customer base.
- Provide support to the tellers and CSR staff, answering questions, and resolving customer issues.
- Assist the BCM by providing on-the-job training for new Personal Bankers.
Bank Operations/Transactions
- Open and maintain a full range of accounts.
- Demonstrate sound judgment in decision making, abiding appropriately by established guidelines and procedures.
- Complete new and existing account documentation with accuracy to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Follow all Home State Bank policies and procedures.
- Perform teller transactions as needed. Adhere to all teller policy and procedural requirements.
- Complete all ABA and other training courses as assigned and by due dates.
