RN Staff at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

At Willis Knighton Pierremont, our Telemetry Unit consists of 30 beds and is located on the 4th floor. We provide care to those patients requiring telemetry monitoring and primarily serve patients with cardiac diagnoses. We recover post procedure cardiac patients that have received pacemakers and cardiac stents. While working as a nurse on our unit, you may encounter medical conditions ranging from asthma to life-threatening cardiac conditions. In this role, you will provide direct patient care related to monitoring, assessment, and treatment of cardiac and other medical conditions. Through this range of clinical experience, you will gain knowledge, confidence and build teamwork among your peers through shared experiences. Patient ratios range from 5-6 patients per nurse, depending on your assigned shift. Your orientation will include 12 weeks with a trained preceptor/mentor.
