Job Description

We’re looking for compassionate Registered Nurses who are dedicated to providing thoughtful, respectful care to individuals and their families. In this role, you’ll offer attentive monitoring, carry out care plans with sensitivity, assist surgeons during procedures, and provide critical support before and after surgery. You’ll also play a vital role in preparing operating rooms and coordinating with the surgical team.

As a Surgery RN in the Operating Room, you’ll play a pivotal role in surgical care—before, during, and after procedures. Working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, you’ll support surgeons and the surgical team in delivering accurate, high-quality care. This position includes Nurse Circulator duties, where you’ll coordinate surgical care from start to finish, advocating for the patient, preparing and verifying instruments, and ensuring effective communication across the surgical team. Your ability to stay focused, anticipate needs, and remain calm under pressure will be essential to every patient’s successful outcome.

Emphasize support, clear education, and collaborative decision-making to foster a positive care experience.

Collaborative Teamwork

This role involves working closely with our team to deliver patient-focused services and contribute to the overall well-being of our patients while contributing to a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • Current RN licensure to practice in California

  • A minimum of 1 year of acute care experience, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

  • BLS certification required and maintained thereafter

  • ACLS certification required within 1 year of employment and maintained thereafter

  • PALS certification required within 1 year of employment and maintained thereafter

  • Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English

  • Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with patients, families, and co-workers

  • Ability to provide leadership in a positive direction consistent with hospital policies and goals
