Position Summary:
Facilities Services is a critical division, responsible for the strategic, cost-effective management of select City-owned buildings and facilities. Our team ensures the efficient delivery of facility operations and maintenance, capital project development, property management, long-range facility planning, and financial stewardship of physical assets.
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst I to support approximately 50 BFF Facilities staff and stakeholders, serving as the point of contact for ongoing technology maintenance, updates, staff training/ troubleshooting, and other technology management duties for BFF Facilities teams.
What you'll get to do:- Perform ongoing system support, including:
- User support and troubleshooting
- Configuration updates and system optimization
- Technology management and accessibility improvements
- Tracking and management of technology assets across the organization
- Develop and maintain various technology tools and solutions, including Facilities internet and intranet sites
- Develop and deliver user training and troubleshooting materials
- Perform data collection, input, and cleansing activities
- Develop and maintain support ticketing, including assignments and metrics, for the Facilities Technology Team
- Assess information technology needs and recommend integrated, efficient, and cost-effective solutions, at both the user level and the organization level
- Ensure consistency and equity in how technology is used and distributed within and across the organization.
The Bureau of Fleet & Facilities’ Facilities Services Division manages over 1.5 million square feet of City-owned real property across 18 of the City’s highest-profile civic buildings and public safety facility assets, valued at over $1 billion. Facilities provides comprehensive property management services for these facilities, including building operations management, facility maintenance and repair, space planning and moves management, and capital project development and management. The Division also leads citywide real property planning studies as requested by City leadership and is an authorized administrator of real estate brokerage services for City bureaus.

The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
Experience applying the methods and techniques used in the installation, troubleshooting, upgrading, and problem resolution of software and other information systems.
Ability to apply analytic and creative problem-solving skills to develop sound, well-reasoned decisions and recommendations.
Ability to communicate concisely, thoughtfully, and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to build and maintain collaborative relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience translating technical concepts into clear, user-friendly training and troubleshooting resources.
Experience with Microsoft O365, specifically Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Experience providing technical support to end users, such as in a helpdesk or customer support role.
- Intermediate skill with SmartSheets
- A bachelor’s degree in data analytics, information technology, computer science, systems administration, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of relevant, progressively responsible experience with business systems analysis, including system configuration, business process analysis, and systems analysis experience in lieu of a degree.
