About This Position
Classic LifeCare is a trusted provider of homecare services, dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals through compassionate, professional, and client-centered care. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to oversee and manage the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Analyze monthly financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and present regular financial reports to Executive Leader and Leadership team.
Accounting & Compliance
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including A/P, A/R, payroll coordination, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
Billing & Revenue Management
- Oversee billing processes.
- Reconcile funding received from Funders and Contracts.
- Ensure proper allocation and tracking of program-specific funding.
Strategic Leadership
- Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Participate in quarterly and monthly strategic planning meetings.
- Support pricing strategies and new program/business development with financial modeling.
- Identify and implement financial process improvements and efficiencies.
Qualifications
Required:
- CPA designation (or in final stages of completion).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare, homecare, or non-profit sectors.
- Familiarity with government funding models and health authority contracts.
- Experience working with AlayaCare or other healthcare operations software.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $90,000 – $102,000 annually
Location: Vancouver, BC V6P 6G5
