Job Overview:The Low Voltage Project Manager owns the full lifecycle of low voltage and Telecommunication project from kick-off call through close-out. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and minimal rework. While maintaining Smart Choice standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The Project Manager will coordinate with all stakeholders: internal teams (Sales, Client Success, Dispatch, Field Engineer, and Staging), clients, general contractors, and vendors to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position requires hands-on experience with structured cabling, wiring, and infrastructure projects. You are expected to independently read site plans, validate site readiness, coordinate vendors, and proactively resolve issues before it impact timelines or customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage end-to-end delivery of client onboardings, installations, site builds, relocations, and upgrades.

· Conduct onsite site survey and discovery calls; translate findings into actionable project plans.

· Serve as primary customer contact, responding to requests in a timely manner, including occasional after-hours.

· Manage multiple low voltage projects from initiation through closeout.

· Collaborate with sales and engineering teams during project handoff and execution

· Coordinate scheduling, materials, labor, and resources for each project

· Apply for and manage permits when required, ensuring no project delays due to compliance gaps.

· Read and interpret site diagrams, wiring schematics and cabling layouts without assistance.

· Work closely with dispatch, field technicians, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion

· Track project progress daily, budgets, and timelines; adjust schedules and resources as needed to stay on track.

· Own issue resolution -track, follow up and close out all installation and post-installation issues.

· Create, assign, and manage tasks in project management systems (Asana preferred) with complete accuracy.

· Manage change orders, RFIs, and project documentation.

· Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices

· Oversee project billing, invoicing, and cost control.

· Maintain accurate records in project management tools (e.g., Asana or similar systems).

· Ability to hold other accountable while maintaining professionalism.

Who you are:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

· 3+ years of project management experience in UCaaS, VoIP, telecommunications, or related technical fields.

· Experience with cabling and large-scale infrastructure projects, including coordinating low-voltage vendors.

· Ability to read and interpret site diagrams, wiring diagrams, and structured cabling layouts.

· Experience managing multiple large projects in enterprise environments.

· Experience with phone carrier provisioning, including porting and routing.

· Experience provisioning clients and delivering end-user training.

· Knowledge of networking concepts including WLAN, LAN, and WAN.

· PMP certification is a plus.

Qualifications, Experience & Education:

3–5+ years of experience in low voltage projects, UCaas, VOIP or Telecommunication projects.Strong understanding of LAN, WAN and WLAN environments.Strong knowledge of low voltage systems (structured cabling, AV, security systems, access control, etc.)Experience in with cabling infrastructure: AV, Security and Low voltage.Experience with managing mid-size (10-99 runs) to large-scale (100 and over runs) infrastructure projects.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExperience reading Floor plans, wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentsProficiency with software related platforms such as Asana, ProCore, Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

PMP certification or equivalent project management certificationExperience with platforms such as Asana, ServiceNow, ProCore, or similar tools.Knowledge of BICSI standards or other industry certifications OSHA 10 & 30.Prior experience managing field technicians and subcontractors.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

· This is an in-office position with some on-site responsibilities.

· Ability to walk construction sites and inspect wiring or infrastructure work when required.

· Occasional travel that could include overnight.
