Patient Access Department Overview:
The Patient Access Department at Sinai Hospital plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and pre-admission services. The department also provides financial counseling, supports emergency department access, assists with medical record requests, and serves as a vital point of contact for patients concerning appointments and hospital procedures.

Role Overview – Team Leader – ED Registration:
The Team Leader for ED Registration will manage and supervise all activities within the Emergency Department (ED) Registration area, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role is responsible for maintaining adequate staffing, coordinating volunteer utilization, and providing leadership and support during peak hours. The position requires flexibility to manage a 24-hour department and ensure seamless operations during all shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staffing & Scheduling: Ensure 24-hour coverage by maintaining adequate staffing levels for the ED Registration area.

  • Flexibility & Support: Demonstrate flexibility in managing a 24-hour department by supporting areas during peak times and ensuring operational efficiency.

  • Volunteer Coordination: Oversee volunteer utilization, including recruitment, training, and management, to support the ED Registration team.

  • Leadership & Supervision: Provide daily supervision, guidance, and support to ED registration staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to departmental standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience.

  • Education: Preferred: Associate's degree or equivalent experience .
