Forward-Deployed Product Manager - FDPM

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Forward-Deployed Product Manager - FDPM in Canada.

This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and client success, acting as a critical link between customers and internal delivery teams. You will work directly with enterprise clients to deeply understand their operational needs and translate them into clear, structured requirements that guide product execution. Operating in a fast-paced, developer-first SaaS environment, you will ensure alignment from discovery through deployment while keeping communication crisp and expectations well managed. The position requires strong technical fluency, exceptional stakeholder management, and the ability to reduce ambiguity into actionable plans. You will also help shape scalable delivery patterns and influence product direction based on real customer insights. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in client-facing product environments and enjoys solving complex operational challenges.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will serve as the primary bridge between clients and internal product/engineering teams, ensuring successful discovery, delivery, and iteration of solutions while maintaining alignment across all stakeholders.

  • Partner directly with clients to gather, clarify, and prioritize business requirements, translating them into structured inputs for engineering teams.
  • Own client-facing engagement throughout onboarding, scoping, and delivery, ensuring clear communication of timelines, expectations, and progress.
  • Support engineering teams by providing detailed context, resolving ambiguity, and ensuring what is built matches client needs.
  • Identify recurring customer patterns and help formalize repeatable frameworks, documentation, and internal processes.
  • Contribute to product roadmap direction by synthesizing customer insights into strategic themes and high-impact feature recommendations.
  • Improve internal workflows for requirement intake, delivery handoffs, and client communication efficiency.
Requirements

This position requires a strong mix of product thinking, client-facing experience, and technical fluency, with the ability to operate confidently in complex SaaS or enterprise software environments.

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, solutions consulting, customer success, or similar client-facing roles.
  • 2+ years of experience in a software company, ideally within SaaS, ERP, or modular/composable platforms.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Structured, analytical thinker comfortable operating in ambiguity and reducing complexity into clear execution plans.
  • Familiarity with APIs, data workflows, or developer tools is highly desirable.
  • Experience in consulting, onboarding, or implementation roles is a strong plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Based in or willing to be frequently present in Los Angeles, with approximately 15–20% travel required.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation: $130,000 – $170,000 base salary plus bonus
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible paid time off (PTO) policy
  • Opportunity to work in a fast-growing, product-driven SaaS environment
  • Direct collaboration with engineering and product leadership teams
  • Exposure to cutting-edge headless ERP and composable software architecture
  • High-impact role with strong ownership and visibility across the organization
