About This Position

Akira Technologies is seeking a Senior Dissemination Specialist (Team Lead) who will provide leadership and oversight for intelligence dissemination operations supporting mission requirements across multiple security domains. This role ensures the accurate, timely, and compliant processing, tracking, and distribution of intelligence products while supervising team activities related to intelligence planning, collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination functions.

The Team Lead serves as a subject matter expert in classification management, cross-domain dissemination, metadata standards, and intelligence product handling while ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and security protocols.

This is an onsite role supporting a government client in Fort Belvoir, VA. Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with an ability to obtain CI Polygraph is required for the position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team supporting intelligence planning, collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination activities.
  • Prepare and process the movement of appropriately marked intelligence products between security domains.
  • Manage distribution and posting of intelligence products to authorized personnel, organizations, and approved repositories.
  • Verify appropriate clearance levels and access permissions prior to dissemination.
  • Support coalition/foreign partner dissemination and foreign disclosure requirements.
  • Perform cross-domain dissemination of associated intelligence materials on approved networks.
  • Maintain compliance with site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable security policies.
  • Identify, log, and assist with resolution of potential inadvertent security incidents.
  • Generate and maintain intelligence product metadata in accordance with Government-approved standards.
  • Use government-provided dissemination tools including:
    • Document Dissemination Tool (DDT)
    • Create Organize Retrieve and Evaluate (CORE)
    • DIA Product Control Numbering Database (PCN DB)
    • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Deliver professional briefings and presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Draft and maintain SOPs, reports, and supporting documentation incorporating text and graphics.
  • Train and guide small teams on data requirements, coordination procedures, and dissemination workflows.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an intelligence-related discipline from an accredited institution (Acceptable substitution: Associate's degree plus seven (7) years of intelligence discipline experience OR High school diploma plus nine (9) years of intelligence discipline experience.)
  • Minimum 4 years of demonstrated team leadership experience supporting intelligence operations.
  • Experience with:
    • Intelligence dissemination workflows
    • Security classification decision-making
    • Foreign disclosure processes
    • Cross-domain operations
    • Coalition/partner information sharing
  • Strong understanding of intelligence metadata standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to brief diverse audiences and communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience developing documentation such as SOPs and analytic-support reporting.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI Security clearance with an ability to obtain CI Polygraph

Salary Range: $120,000 - $155,000

Akira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization. This pay range estimate is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary, which Akira believes to be done in good faith in compliance with local laws. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
