Forklift Operator in Etna Green, Indiana at Winona Powder Coating Inc

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shipping & Receiving team member to support daily warehouse and logistics operations. This is a hands-on, physically active role where operating a forklift will be a primary responsibility. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy working on the floor, moving materials, and supporting shipping and receiving operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is not a desk-based position.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility
• Receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders or invoices
• Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues as needed
• Unload, organize, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations
• Prepare outgoing shipments, including proper packaging and labeling
• Generate and process shipping labels, packing slips, and related documentation
• Use computers to track inventory movement and maintain accurate records
• Perform order picking and staging as required
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving logs
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Support other warehouse and production areas as needed
• Unload / Load trucks

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift experience required
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
• Computer skills required (data entry, inventory systems, shipping documentation)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently or as part of a team
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout an 8-hour shift

Schedule

• 8-hour shift
• 11 AM to 7 PM
• Overtime as needed
