Job Purpose:

The Operations Assistant provides administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of the KFV Operations department. This includes assisting the supply chain (planning and purchasing), production, warehouse, and quality teams as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the VP of Operations and other Department Managers, including creating and updating logs, forms, or other process control documents; maintaining data analysis spreadsheets; and overall assistance with organizational tasks.
  • Create MRO (non-inventory) purchase orders and coordinate with department managers for orders needed to support production and warehouse activities, as assigned.
  • Communicate with internal team members and external vendors as required to follow-up on open purchase order reports; update the KFV ERP system as assigned.
  • Assist with work order release and shop packet reviews to support weekly production activities.
  • Assist with date management in the KFV ERP system (work orders and purchase orders) as assigned.
  • Scan and file records for all assigned departments (including supply chain (planning and purchasing), production, warehouse, and quality) as assigned.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required, based upon business needs.
Requirements:

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 2 years of experience in a related role or in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong work ethic and compliance with attendance policy; willing to learn new skills.

Working Conditions:

The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
