We are seeking a knowledgeable and driven Wine & Spirits Sales Representative & Merchandiser to help grow the Wine & Spirits business in our South Florida locations. This role is responsible for maintaining fully stocked and well-merchandised aisles, ensuring compliance with all state and local alcohol regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate brings strong wine and spirits knowledge, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to build relationships with licensed wholesale customers. This isn't just a sales job; you are a consultant for our members. You will leverage the company’s existing loyal customer base to grow the Wine & Spirits department.
Key Responsibility:
· Demonstrate strong wine, beer, and spirits knowledge when assisting customers
· Build and maintain relationships with customers and support new account development
· Assist customers in developing wine and cocktail offerings that feature our products
· Conduct customer tastings (both in the branch and at customers' establishments)
· Build and maintain in-store displays to ensure a seamless customer experience.
· Ensure compliance with all State and Local alcohol wholesale laws and regulations
· Communicate with customers how private labels can generate higher profits for their businesses
· Continually upsell active customers by introducing new products and expanding the company’s portion of their W&S offerings
· Conduct customer tastings (both in the branch and at customers' establishments)
Experience Preferred:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in Wine & Spirits sales, preferably in Florida (applicants with experience in restaurants or retail will also be considered)
· Experience with restaurants and wine/cocktail lists is a plus
· Strong knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits preferred
· Wine and spirits certifications (e.g., WSET or similar) are a plus.
· Speaking Spanish is a significant plus
Position Requirements:
· Must be able to travel to the following locations: Miami, Davie, Pompano Beach, Boynton Beach, and Riviera Beach, FL (mileage reimbursement provided)
· Must own a reliable vehicle and have a clean driving record
· Must be able to travel to customer locations as required (LQS Permit)
· Frequent bending, reaching, and stooping
· Comfortable working around moving equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
