This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager, Materials Management based in Canada.
As Product Manager, you will shape the strategy and evolution of Materials Management capabilities within an enterprise SaaS environment. You’ll work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to understand complex procurement, purchasing, inventory, and supply chain challenges. Your insights will directly influence product priorities, requirements, roadmaps, and solutions that improve operational efficiency for customers. You’ll act as a subject matter expert, connecting user needs with engineering, UX, implementation, support, and product teams. The role offers significant autonomy, with opportunities to influence product direction while managing multiple initiatives in a collaborative environment. Success will require strong analytical thinking, client empathy, communication skills, and a genuine drive to turn complex problems into practical software solutions.
- Contribute to the product strategy and roadmap for Materials Management capabilities, helping prioritize investments based on customer needs and business value.
- Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to understand challenges across procurement, requisitioning, purchasing, receiving, inventory management, warehouse operations, and supply chain workflows.
- Lead discovery activities, interviews, research, and discussions to identify underlying problems and validate requirements and proposed solutions.
- Translate user needs and business problems into clear product requirements, use cases, user stories, and supporting documentation that enable effective delivery.
- Prioritize enhancements that improve purchasing workflows, inventory control, supply chain operations, and overall customer efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, UX, QA, implementation, support, and other client-facing teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with user needs.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the product portfolio, customer base, market, and evolving industry requirements.
- Serve as a product subject matter expert, communicating product capabilities, roadmap priorities, and best practices to internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a product evangelist by helping customers and internal teams understand the value, capabilities, and practical applications of Materials Management solutions.
- Contribute to product documentation, go-to-market materials, client communications, and other resources that support adoption and product success.
- Drive product vision and strategy across the organization while supporting departmental and company-wide objectives.
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve product management processes, team collaboration, and customer outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization and with external customers, providing thoughtful recommendations and constructive feedback.
- 3–5 years of experience working with enterprise software, ideally in a product management, business analysis, consulting, implementation, or similar role.
- Experience with purchasing, procurement, inventory management, materials management, supply chain operations, or ERP systems supporting these functions.
- Degree, diploma, professional certification, or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, computer science, business, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in software product management is an asset, particularly within enterprise SaaS or ERP environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with demonstrated skill in extracting meaningful insights from interviews, documentation, test data, and hands-on investigation.
- Ability to translate complex business and user problems into clearly defined requirements and actionable product solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders at different levels.
- Demonstrated client-service mindset and genuine interest in understanding customer needs and driving successful outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines independently.
- Resourceful, self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable operating with minimal supervision in a changing environment.
- A growth mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn, receive feedback, and continuously develop new skills.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial management is an advantage.
- Knowledge of procurement, purchasing, inventory control, warehouse operations, and supply chain processes is highly desirable.
- Experience working with healthcare organizations is a plus.
- Experience with ERP or financial management software is an advantage.
- Ability to communicate recommendations clearly, challenge assumptions constructively, and collaborate across product, engineering, UX, QA, implementation, and client-facing teams.
- Competitive annual compensation, with an expected salary range of $80,000–$120,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
