This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Deal Desk Manager based in Canada.
This is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for guiding complex deal structures, pricing decisions, and negotiations across a global B2B technology environment.
You will serve as a key decision-maker for non-standard pricing requests, complex reseller opportunities, RFPs, and commercial agreements.
Working closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Legal, you will balance commercial opportunity with pricing risk, policy, and operational feasibility.
The role combines strategic judgment with hands-on deal management, ensuring high-value and complex opportunities move forward efficiently.
You will also provide leadership and mentorship to Deal Desk professionals, helping establish priorities, improve decision-making, and strengthen team capabilities.

- Provide senior-level decision-making and strategic oversight for non-standard pricing requests across global regions, complex reseller RFPs, and customized commercial agreements.
- Lead negotiations with sales teams, resellers, and direct customers to structure and finalize pricing agreements, amendments, and complex commercial arrangements.
- Manage and prioritize the Deal Desk queue, ensuring requests are evaluated efficiently and resolved within established SLA timelines.
- Assess pricing structures, commercial terms, and deal risks, applying sound judgment to balance revenue opportunities, profitability, customer needs, and established commercial policies.
- Partner closely with Revenue Operations to ensure proposed deal structures are operationally executable, compliant, and aligned with internal processes.
- Serve as the primary escalation point and subject matter expert for complex commercial scenarios requiring senior-level judgment.
- Mentor, coach, and support Deal Desk team members, sharing best practices and helping develop their commercial, analytical, and negotiation capabilities.
- Establish team priorities, allocate work strategically, monitor case progress, and ensure timely resolution of complex requests.
- Collaborate with leadership to provide performance feedback, identify development opportunities, and support targeted training initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic and cross-functional business initiatives, helping improve commercial processes, deal governance, and overall operational effectiveness.
- 5–8 years of experience in Deal Desk, commercial pricing, sales operations, or a closely related function, preferably within a B2B SaaS or technology environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience negotiating pricing, structuring complex deals, and evaluating commercial trade-offs.
- Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and logical-reasoning skills, with the ability to identify underlying risks, opportunities, and business drivers.
- Proven ability to assess pricing risk and make sound, timely decisions in complex or ambiguous situations.
- Experience with CPQ or Deal Management platforms; experience with DealHub is preferred.
- Previous leadership experience in a team-oriented environment, including coaching, mentoring, prioritization, and employee development.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and organizational levels.
- Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to identify business needs, develop practical solutions, and manage initiatives through completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain commercial recommendations and influence stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with strong prioritization skills and the flexibility to adapt quickly as business conditions and priorities change.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across a flat, fast-paced organization and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong technical proficiency with business productivity tools, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel.

- Hiring salary range: CAD $116,200–$155,000 annually, with actual compensation determined by skills, qualifications, education, experience, location, and relevant market data.
