Associate Director of Project Management

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Associate Director of Project Management based in United States.

The Associate Director of Project Management will play a key role in bringing structure, clarity, and operational excellence to a fast-paced creative and marketing environment.
This position is responsible for designing scalable workflows, managing complex projects, and enabling teams to deliver high-impact campaigns efficiently.
The role requires a strategic operator who can navigate ambiguity, align cross-functional stakeholders, and optimize processes from concept through execution.
You will act as a central connector between creative, production, marketing, legal, product, and external partners.
By improving systems, introducing automation, and driving operational improvements, you will help teams work smarter and deliver exceptional results.
This is an opportunity for an experienced project leader to influence how large-scale creative initiatives are planned, executed, and scaled.

Accountabilities:

The Associate Director of Project Management will own program operations, workflow architecture, and stakeholder alignment across complex creative initiatives. This role requires strong organizational leadership, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to create structure in dynamic environments.

  • Lead full lifecycle management of marketing and creative campaigns, ensuring successful execution from planning through delivery while managing timelines, dependencies, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee creative review processes, coordinating feedback, approvals, and alignment across leadership, brand, legal, product, and production teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders, facilitating communication, resolving blockers, and ensuring clear ownership of deliverables.
  • Build and optimize project management frameworks, workflows, and operational systems to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Manage agency relationships, external resources, and staffing models to ensure effective collaboration and high-quality execution.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and leverage technology solutions to streamline operations and improve team performance.
  • Establish clear reporting structures, track project milestones, and proactively communicate risks, opportunities, and progress.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows, identifying friction points, and implementing scalable solutions.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing complex projects in creative, marketing, or technology-driven environments. They are highly organized, strategic, and comfortable leading teams through ambiguity while influencing senior stakeholders.

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, program management, creative operations, or similar roles within fast-paced environments.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing workflow infrastructure, operational processes, and scalable project management systems.
  • Strong understanding of project scoping, resource planning, budgeting, and staffing models.
  • Experience managing large-scale campaigns and coordinating multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with project management platforms such as Smartsheet, Airtable, or similar tools.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead high-impact meetings and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing initiatives while maintaining attention to detail and operational excellence.
  • Experience using AI tools, automation platforms, or emerging technologies to improve marketing workflows and decision-making.
  • Comfortable working Pacific Time (PT/PST) business hours.
