Job Description

SVP of Marketing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SVP of Marketing based in United States.

This executive role will lead the entire marketing organization across a multi-business-unit SaaS portfolio and support the broader sales organization.
You’ll shape the next phase of growth by building stronger connections with ideal customer profiles, creating demand, and sharpening solution positioning.
The position combines digital performance marketing with B2B demand generation, content, campaigns, lifecycle marketing, and marketing technology.
You’ll oversee a significant marketing budget while developing a more integrated, multichannel approach focused on sustainable customer acquisition and lifetime value.
The role also involves building marketing data infrastructure, analytics, instrumentation, and AI-first capabilities in close partnership with engineering and data teams.
You’ll work directly with business-unit leaders and product marketing teams to influence go-to-market strategy, competitive differentiation, and ICP definition.
This is a hands-on executive opportunity for a builder who can establish new capabilities with lean teams before scaling them across a global SaaS environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the overall marketing organization supporting four business units and the sales organization.
  • Set the overarching marketing strategy and translate business objectives into measurable marketing priorities.
  • Continue to drive digital marketing performance while expanding into underutilized channels such as display, social, video, community, and other emerging opportunities.
  • Optimize a marketing budget exceeding $50 million with a focus on improving return on investment across the portfolio.
  • Develop strategies to improve customer acquisition cost and lifetime value across products and channels.
  • Build and scale multichannel marketing campaigns that communicate product value to clearly defined ideal customer profiles.
  • Move campaign planning beyond isolated bottom-of-funnel channel optimization toward coordinated, positioning-led demand creation.
  • Partner closely with product marketing leaders across business units to strengthen positioning and bring it to life through integrated campaigns.
  • Build and scale a B2B demand-generation engine covering lead generation, lead scoring, routing, and sales alignment.
  • Develop the existing demand-generation capabilities and expand the supporting team as the function matures.
  • Raise the quality and consistency of content strategy and execution across websites and other marketing surfaces.
  • Establish a stronger approach to content creation and distribution across the full customer journey.
  • Build and evolve the marketing technology stack in partnership with engineering leadership.
  • Make strategic build-versus-buy decisions to prioritize proprietary engineering capacity for capabilities that provide differentiated value.
  • Define the data instrumentation, reporting, dashboards, and analytics required to measure new marketing programs and channels.
  • Partner with data teams to establish reliable marketing measurement and actionable insights.
  • Guide the adoption of AI-first approaches across marketing operations, technology, and emerging acquisition channels.
  • Act as a trusted strategic partner to business-unit GMs on go-to-market strategy, positioning, competitive differentiation, and ICP definition.
  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, personally building new capabilities where teams are still developing.
  • Establish scalable processes, teams, and operating models as new marketing capabilities mature.
  • Collaborate across sales, product marketing, engineering, data, and business-unit teams to create coordinated growth initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, accountability, speed, learning, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • 15–20 years of professional marketing experience, with substantial experience in SaaS environments.
  • Proven senior-level leadership experience spanning both self-serve digital execution and scaled, sales-assisted motions.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large SMB and mid-market customer segments.
  • Direct experience building and scaling B2B demand-generation programs, including lead generation, scoring, and routing.
  • Strong experience partnering closely with sales organizations to create and convert demand.
  • Demonstrated ability to build new marketing capabilities from the ground up using lean teams and hands-on execution.
  • Strong understanding of digital performance marketing and experience expanding beyond search into broader acquisition channels.
  • Experience developing multichannel campaigns centered on positioning, customer needs, and ideal customer profiles.
  • Strong content strategy and execution experience across web and other marketing channels.
  • Experience with marketing technology strategy, infrastructure, and build-versus-buy decisions.
  • Strong understanding of marketing data, instrumentation, analytics, reporting, and performance dashboards.
  • Comfortable operating in an AI-first environment and identifying practical applications for AI across marketing workflows and acquisition channels.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and experience partnering with sales, product marketing, engineering, data, and business-unit leadership.
  • Ability to influence go-to-market strategy, positioning, competitive differentiation, and customer segmentation.
  • Balanced strategic and operational capabilities, with a strong orientation toward execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Highly hands-on and willing to build capabilities personally before delegating and scaling.
  • Decisive and comfortable experimenting, testing new approaches, and learning from unsuccessful initiatives.
  • Strong ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.
  • Low-ego, collaborative leadership style with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate with speed, ownership, and resourcefulness.
  • Affinity for SMBs, particularly micro and small businesses, is a plus.
  • Prior experience in the document technology or document management space is advantageous.
Benefits:
  • Flexible working environment with remote and hybrid options depending on location.
  • Ability to work from offices in the United States, Poland, Romania, or Ukraine, with remote opportunities available in many countries.
  • Competitive compensation aligned with local market conditions and professional experience.
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Stock options providing an opportunity to participate in company growth.
  • Professional development through courses, conferences, and learning resources.
  • Opportunities for career development and internal mobility.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits tailored to the employee’s country.
  • Access to fitness and wellness programs.
  • Quarterly company-wide Mental Health Days.
  • Family-friendly workplace practices and flexibility for parents.
  • Junior Club and family-focused initiatives.
  • Pet-friendly approach designed to support work-life balance.
  • Opportunities to participate in charitable and humanitarian initiatives through employee giving programs.
  • Transparent communication and opportunities to participate in company-wide discussions and Q&A sessions.
  • Global and multicultural working environment with colleagues across more than 20 countries.
