Job Description
Technical Sales Internship
Scot Forge Company is looking to hire two Technical Sales Interns for the summer of 2027 at the corporate facility in Spring Grove, IL. A sales internship at Scot Forge will provide a variety of experiences and exposure to the sales profession and a technical sales team. This intern will be supporting the sales team through their daily tasks and projects.
Anticipated Projects include:
- Research, analyze and document competitor capabilities and market position
- Gather, analyze and communicate customer data and feedback
- Research current or potential markets/opportunities
- Partner with industry specialists for business development and organizational mapping
- Shadow Technical Sales professionals during customer calls, onsite customer tours and offsite customer visits (no overnight travel)
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s program, majoring in Business, Sales, Marketing, Finance or Engineering disciplines
- Rising Junior or higher at start of internship
- Independent worker with strong self-management and problem-solving skills, who can demonstrate learning agility
- Outgoing personality with a natural curiosity and logic-based thought process
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
- Excellent writing, proofreading and communication skills

Additional Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work anywhere in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Must be able to pass a 90 day head hair drug test today

The estimated pay range for this position is the lowest and highest range we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We ultimately may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. The actual base pay offered to a candidate will depend on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, geographic location and prevailing minimum wage, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
