Restaurant Greeter (Host/Hostess) in Chesterfield, Missouri at CarShield Sportsplex

The CarShield Sportsplex is seeking a warm and organized Restaurant Greeter to welcome guests to the Overtime Bar and Grill. The Greeter will manage the host stand, coordinate seating, answer questions, and communicate with the service team to maintain an efficient guest flow. This position sets the tone for each visit and is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people in a lively sports and family environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcome guests promptly and create a friendly, professional first impression.
• Manage the wait list, reservations, and seating chart and provide accurate wait-time estimates.
• Seat guests according to server rotation, table availability, accessibility needs, and party size.
• Answer questions about the restaurant, menu, facility, events, and available services.
• Answer or route incoming restaurant calls and take clear messages when needed.
• Communicate guest needs, large parties, and service concerns to servers and managers.
• Keep the entrance, host stand, menus, and waiting area clean and organized.
• Assist with menus, table resets, takeout orders, and other front-of-house duties during busy periods.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Follow company service, safety, and guest-privacy procedures.

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, retail, reception, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, confident, and professional verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and the ability to manage several guest parties and priorities at once.
• Sound judgment and the ability to remain calm and courteous during high-volume periods.
• Ability to learn seating, reservation, and point-of-sale technology as needed.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, tournaments, holidays, and special events as scheduled.
