About the Role
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Warehouse Inventory Specialist to support inventory control and compliance within our cannabis processing facility. This position is responsible for receiving, organizing, tracking, and maintaining accurate inventory records while ensuring products and materials are properly stored and documented.
The ideal candidate enjoys staying organized, takes pride in accuracy, and understands the importance of following procedures. Experience with warehouse inventory, receiving, retail backroom operations, or food distribution is highly preferred. Cannabis inventory systems and compliance procedures will be taught.
Essential Responsibilities:
Inventory & Warehouse Operations
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming inventory, packaging supplies, and production materials.
- Maintain organized warehouse storage areas and accurate product locations.
- Stage materials for production and packaging teams.
- Assist with receiving, transfers, and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain clean, organized, and efficient warehouse spaces.
Inventory Control & Documentation
- Perform routine inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
- Verify inventory quantities and investigate discrepancies when identified.
- Enter inventory information accurately into company inventory and ERP systems.
- Maintain organized records of inventory transactions and product movements.
- Assist with inventory audits and reconciliation activities.
Compliance & Accuracy
- Follow all company SOPs related to inventory handling, storage, and documentation.
- Ensure products are properly labeled, stored, and handled according to company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records to support regulatory compliance.
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or compliance concerns promptly.
- Support internal inventory audits and compliance initiatives.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with production, packaging, shipping, and operations teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Communicate inventory shortages, receiving issues, or operational concerns to leadership.
- Support overall warehouse organization and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
Required
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, receiving, inventory control, logistics, or retail backroom operations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using computers for data entry and inventory tracking.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Preferred
- Experience working in Target backroom operations, grocery distribution, food manufacturing, warehouse logistics, or other high-volume inventory environments.
- Experience using ERP or warehouse inventory software.
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing or production environment.
- Cannabis inventory and compliance experience is a plus, but not required—training will be provided.

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements throughout the shift.
- Maintain manual dexterity to package, label, sort, and inspect cannabis products.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and twist frequently.
- Work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, hairnets, beard covers (if applicable), safety glasses, and other protective gear.
- Maintain visual acuity to inspect products, read labels, and identify quality concerns.
- Work in varying environmental conditions, including temperature-controlled production areas.
- Safely operate production equipment and follow all safety procedures.
- Ability to remain focused and meet production quotas while adhering to compliance and quality standards.
- Regular and reliable attendance with the ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
